"Bernice, are you ready for the trip?"
I woke up to this snapchat message and I smiled. It was the day me and my group is going to hike Kowloon Peak. That day, me and my group met at Choi Hung MTR station, and around 12 o'clock we gathered together, then we took Exit A. We took the minibus 16A, (16B will just do fine as well) and we approached the nearby Park called Ngau Chi Wan Park. You can reach the park by going up the slope until you see the roundabout, you take a left turn and you see a door made out of net. You climb up the stairs from then on and you will see a sign called Jat's Incline. You hike all the way up there until you reach a big slanted slope that is quite wide.
From then on me and my group hiked all the way up the slope. On the way we saw a very creepy tiny house and we walked near it. We heard some MahJong sounds, and we were freaked out, so we ran back to the trail. That's why you should never leave the trail because you might get killed or lost. We hiked all the way up through the trees, and along the way we saw flowers being dotted across the bushes and the trail.
About an hour and a half later, we reached the very top of the Peak! We rested a little while, took some pictures and you know, just talked about what pictures we took. It's actually pretty nice to maybe sit down and have a snack with your friends and family when the weather was less misty. We laughed at jokes and we had a very great time, just talking about what we saw along the way! (You can look at the activities you can do at the "risks and activities" page.)
After the little break, we headed back down the way we got up. If you are too tired, you can choose to take a taxi if there is any available, and just go back to Choi Hung MTR station. That was how our nice beautiful day ended! It was sure a fun day!
